A hauntingly delicious cocktail that combines the vibrant colors of a classic Tequila Sunrise with a spooky twist, which features layers of tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup, creating a visually stunning “sunrise” effect in the glass. The grenadine, resembling blood, slowly rises from the bottom, giving it a vampire-inspired touch.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 4 oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Grenadine Syrup
  • Ice Cubes

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour 2 ounces of Tequila over the ice.
  3. Slowly pour 4 ounces of orange juice into the glass over the back of a spoon or by drizzling it down the side of the glass to create the sunrise effect. This should create a gradient with the orange juice settling at the bottom.
  4. Now, slowly pour 1/2 ounce of grenadine syrup over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass. The grenadine will sink to the bottom and gradually rise, creating the “blood” effect.
  5. Do not stir; let the layers settle naturally.
  6. Garnish options:
    • For a classic look, garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry on a toothpick.
    • For a Halloween twist, use plastic vampire teeth as a garnish. Carefully attach them to the rim of the glass using a toothpick or a tiny amount of icing.
    • You can also add a small plastic vampire figurine to the rim for a spooky touch.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy your Halloween Vampire Tequila Sunrise!
